This month we’ve recently finished a unique golden American Walnut Crucifix.
American walnut is a medium to large hardwood, native to the eastern regions of North America. The heartwood ranges from a stunning golden (similar to this crucifix) to rich chocolate brown colour, sometimes with narrow streaks of a darker purplish-brown. Sapwood is a distinctive creamy white colour. American walnut is a fine and generally straight-grained timber, although sometimes it has an attractive wavy or curly grain, making it a highly decorative timber.
This beautiful American Walnut Crucifix is handmade with the greatest attention to detail and quality.
At 750 x 380 mm it is perfect for the centre piece of any home or to hang in any room of the house.
The Corpus is made from an Italian sculpted design and cast in high strength plaster. The superb attention to detail and form draws you in every time you lay eyes on this piece.
